Sterling Gun Drills single flute gun drills are standard with the R-1 “Lowland” Contour and N-8 "facet" nose grind. Standard gun drills are fitted with “inch” drivers to USA industry standards.
Special Diameters
No additional cost for special diameter drills manufactured to our standard schedule delivery. Price at the next larger standard diameter drill. Special diameter drills manufactured on a "rush" delivery add $20 to .750" dia., $30 to 1.125" dia., and $40 to 1.625" dia. per drill. Rush manufacture time 1-3 weeks.
Special Lengths
No additional cost for special length drills within the standard length range for the diameter manufactured at our standard 4 week delivery. Price at the next longer standard length drill of that diameter. Special length drills manufactured on a “rush” adds $20 to .750” dia., $30 to 1.125” dia., and $40 to 1.625” dia. per drill. Rush manufacture time 1-3 weeks.
Lengths beyond 48” or the longest standard length for that diameter: Price at the next longer standard length for the diameter. Confirm extra length shanks are available. Standard manufacture is 4 weeks, “rush” manufacture adds $20 to .750” dia., $30 to 1.125” dia., and $40 to 1.625” dia. per drill. Rush manufacture time 1-3 weeks.

Only one "rush" charge applies for special diameter and/or length gun drills.
Special Drivers
Non-standard inch or metric drivers are available at no extra charge on our standard delivery. Drivers with special diameters, length, threads, flats, grooves, or undercuts are subject to quote.
Inserted Drivers: Drivers smaller than standard may have to be “inserted”. Inserted drivers must be machined to fit inside the tube rather than over it. The effective drill depth with an inserted driver is reduced by 1" to 3".

Other Special Features
Tip coatings, TiN, TiCN, TiAlN, CrC, others are subject to quote and have length restrictions. Nose grind, (N-4, N-13, N-73) or semi-custom nose grinds: No additional cost on standard or "rush" delivery. Non-standard Contours, R2, R3, R4. No additional cost on "standard" or "rush" manufacture. Ball nose, Step drill and other special grinds subject to quote. Length or driver conversions od standard drills are subject to quote.
