Our Spraymist "System" featuring spraymist kits, toolholders, and lubricant that allow deep and precision hole drilling on virtually any machine and are an economical alternative to dedicated equipment, other forms of retrofit, or subcontracting.
Spraymist System for Deep Hole Drilling Sterling Gun Drills offers a complete deep hole drilling system permitting users to produce gundrilling machine depth and precision holes on CNC as well as manual lathes and milling machines not equipped with high pressure coolant. Two spraymist kits, the DM2000 (one gallon) and DM3000 (four gallon) are a key part of a deep hole drilling "System" along with stationary and rotary coolant feed toolholders, lubricant, and carbide tipped deep hole drills. The spraymist unit delivers shop air injected with high "EP" lubricated through carbide tipped gun drills, Half Round drills, and TWINMASTER™ two flute deep hole drills. In use, the high velocity mist creates a refrigerative effect that pulls heat from the surrounding material and lubricates the drill's tip, leaving the air to clear chips from the bore along the open flute of the drill. The DM2000 / 3000 spraymist kits are portable, and provide an economical alternative to dedicated gundrilling equipment, other retrofit high pressure systems, or subcontracting.
